Future FLEX 2026–2027 Scholarship recipients in dialogue with CNRED representatives

At the invitation of the American Councils for International Education – Romania Branch, the representatives of CNRED participated on April 24, this year, in the annual meeting with the FLEX Romania 2026–2027 scholarship recipients, held at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest.

The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program is funded by the Government of the United States of America through the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and it is implemented by the American Councils for International Education. Its goal is to strengthen international ties and mutual understanding through academic and cultural exchanges, as well as to support the linguistic and educational development of the participants.

At the same time, the program promotes respect for cultural diversity, provides high school students from Europe and Eurasia with opportunities for personal growth, and facilitates their understanding of the culture, society and educational system of the United States of America through an international exchange experience.
The event brought together representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America in Romania, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Bucharest School Inspectorate, as well as representatives of Bucharest high schools that host American students studying in Romania.

During the meeting, CNRED representatives had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the scholarship recipients selected for the 2026–2027 academic year and their families, providing them with relevant information regarding the recognition and equivalence of studies completed in the United States through the FLEX program.
