Certificates regarding the Romanian education system

Submitting the application

CNRED issue certificates for the recognition abroad of the studies carried out in Romania on the structure of higher education and pre-university system, the status of educational institutions, academic and professional rights of a diploma, information regarding the grading system and confirming the authenticity of a diploma.

Submitting the application

Online, through Electronic Point of Single Contact– from accounts accessed through ROeID, eIDAS or ghiseul.ro. Files sent through accounts accessed via eDirect are not processed.

Required documents

1. Application form – for file submission in physical format

2. Act of studies issued by a secondary school or institution of higher education and / or grade transcript / diploma supplement, if applicable – copy

for the study document certified by the competent authority (pre-university study document are certified by the County School Inspectorate / the School Inspectorate of Bucharest, and university study documents are certified by CNRED) no additional checks are required.
for documents that have not been certified by ISJ or CNRED, checks will be carried out at the issuing institution of the documents or, where there are available, in electronic databases.

3. Identity card – copy and proof of legal name change, if applicable

4. Evaluation fee of 50 lei

The fee can be paid in lei:

at the CNRED Cashier’s Office

Monday to Thursday, between 9:00-12:00, 13:00-15:00

through Ghișeul.ro individuals legal persons

From abroad, the payment can be made in Euro via bank transfer in the account below:

The fee will be calculated according to the National Bank of Romania official exchange rate on the day of the payment.

Important: The beneficiary’s IBAN number along with owner’s and employer’s name (if applicable) must be referred to on the proof of payment!

Evaluation of documents

The processing time is 30 days from the date of registration of the application, which should include proper and complete documents.

If considerable research or correspondence to obtain necessary information is required, during unusually busy periods or when circumstances beyond our control prevail, the time span as indicated above may be extended.

The certificate shall be issued to the holder, a person empowered or an institution empowered by the holder.
