On 4th-5th of May, at the invitation of CNRED, the representatives of the County School Inspectorates and the Bucharest School Inspectorate gathered in the aula « Sergiu T. Chiriacescu » of Transilvania University of Brasov to discuss problems specific to the activity of recognizing periods of studies conducted abroad.

The action organized by CNRED was aimed at providing assistance and exchange of information on procedures for the recognition of study documents obtained abroad by the inspectorates and how to complete the study papers issued in Romania.

Representatives of CNRED - a member of European Information Networks on the Recognition of Diplomas ENIC-NARIC - received, on May 3th, an assessment visit from the homologous Portuguese Center.

Representatives of CNRED participated, on 20-21 of April, at the 5th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) – Working Group on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education, organized by the National Qualifications Agency of Malaysia.

The Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), where Romania is a member since 2015, is an intergovernmental forum for dialogue and cooperation in an equal partnership between the two regions, which includes 28 EU member states, 2 non-EU member states and 21 countries from Asia.

As coordinator of the Internal Market Information System (IMI) legislative area for the „Recognition of professional qualifications”, CNRED representatives presented on 28th of March – at the invitation of the European Commission - the model of good practice in the coordination, management and implementation of Internal Market Information System (IMI) in Romania.

Earlier this year, the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) became, as a member of the Network of Centres of national recognition ENIC / NARIC, partner in a European project funded by Erasmus + action 3. The National Center for recognition in Italy - http://www.cimea.it is the project coordinator and the implementation period is between April 2016 and September 2017.
